About La Forge

La Forge is a house converted from the original blacksmith’s workshop in the village of Russan close to Nîmes and Uzès and thirty minutes from Nîmes airport. The house sleeps four people in two double bedrooms and there is also a double sofabed in the first floor salon.

Conveniently placed in the heart of the Gard department, Russan is the perfect place to base your holiday in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. Like Provence this is the region of shaded village squares and fields of lavender and herbs.

The French Riviera and the Camargue are a short drive to the south, and the Cévennes National Park is just to the north. The Roman city of Orange, Papal Avignon, the Pont du Gard, the famous Grotte de La Baume Latrone, and many other historic sites are close by.

The local area affords many activities and attractions making Russan somewhere to relax and unwind, or to head out and explore this beautiful part of Southern France
